What we need to know:
What is the nature of the issue, if known, and what is the item to inspect?
Whereabouts is the item that needs inspecting?
What type of construction are we looking at? GRP, FRP, Carbon, Sandwich or monolothic or both?
How thick is the material to be tested?
Do we know what typical issues we may be looking for are?
If the item to be inspected is new or unusual we are happy to receive test pieces so we can develop a technique for inspection ahead of doing any on site testing.
By having an understanding of what needs to be looked at we can make a judgement of which techniques may be most suitable. In practise we often use a combination of techniques as a single one is unlikely to give the complete solution and often verification by another means is a useful confirmation of the findings.
Inspection costs vary depending on what is required from an hour in our laboratories to several weeks on site. In order to have an accurate view of likely costs do please contact us for a detailed discussion and estimate.
With access to a large team of people and a wide variety of equipment means we can usually respond to most requests within a week although the more notice the better.
For new accounts a deposit payment will be required prior to confirming travel arrangements.
